The UNSW Institute for Cyber Security (IFCyber) is a transdisciplinary research institute focused on delivering real-world solutions to complex cyber security problems.
Spanning across both the Canberra and Sydney campuses, we bring together skills and knowledge in law, privacy and identity, cryptography, narrative, diplomacy, logics, wargaming and simulation, hardware and cyber physical systems, and human behaviour. 
Collectively, we are placing Australia as a leader in conducting excellence in multidisciplinary cyber security research, innovation, and commercialisation. We welcome the cyber community from academia, industry, and government to join us in our pursuits.

About us

Research

Our research expertise is truly multidisciplinary. It includes experts from across the board, including engineering and computer science, the arts, social sciences, psychology, business, law, and science. Researchers often work together on interdisciplinary projects to ensure that humans and policy are not considered as an afterthought.

Education

Both campuses at UNSW have a range of courses – at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, some of which are online or in hybrid mode.
