The new Minister for Cities, met the UNSW Cities Institute’s Professor Peter Poulet and Hannah Bolitho this week in Canberra at the Powered by UNSW 75th anniversary showcase.

The second annual Powered by UNSW event showcased the myriad of disciplines and achievements across UNSW as it celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.

The Cities Institute team joined UNSW academic and professional staff in welcoming Members of Parliament, agency staff and industry leaders to Parliament House’s Mural Hall to highlight the institution’s world-leading research and expertise.

“This was such a valuable event in not only demonstrating the depth and innovation of UNSW’s talent but also emphasising how our Cities Institute will harness that talent across disciplines to address the many issues facing cities across the Asia-Pacific,” said Professor Poulet.

Earlier, Professor Poulet, the founding Director of the Cities Institute, and our Policy and Practice Lead, Hannah Bolitho, met the Minister and her Cities and Suburbs team (within the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts) ahead of the imminent release of the National Urban Policy and celebration of World Urban Month in October.
