AGSM @ UNSW Business Schoolranked 31st in the 2024QSGlobal MBARankingsreleased today. The result puts theAGSM Full-Time MBAin the top 10% of the world’s best schools of management. Therankingsassessed 318 programs across 48 countries.

AGSM has maintained its position in therankingsfrom last year,and improved by four places since the2022 rankings, released two years ago.

“AGSM has once again rankedamong the world’s best MBA programs,” said Professor Nick Wailes, Senior Deputy Dean and Director AGSM.

“Having the AGSM Full-time MBAagain rank in the top 10% of the world’s best MBA programs is a reflection of the quality of program, the outstanding students it attracts, and the impact our global 100,000 alumni are making in business, government and the for-purpose sectors,” he said.

AGSM ranked above the global average across all indicators: Return on Investment (ROI), Alumni Outcomes, Diversity, Thought Leadership and Employability. The school performed extremely well in the areas of Thought Leadership (with a global indicator of 90.1 - 38.8 points ahead of the global average), and Diversity (with an indicator of90.3 – 30.2ahead of the global average).

“We continually evolve and refine our MBA programs, aligning them with the dynamic needs of the world. Our focus is on nurturing leaders who are passionate about making a positive impact, enabling them to address the evolving challenges and opportunities of our global society,” said ProfessorWailes.

Thought Leadership was ranked against factors such as school’s research impact and academic reputation and is based on responses from over 200,000 academics in 60 countries around the world. Research Impact measures faculty productivity in specific academic fields. The diversity metric looks at the gender balance and international mix of students and faculty.

Return on Investment was also a key differentiator, with AGSM scoring79.4 – 16.9points ahead of the average.

Earlier this year, AGSM ranked 37th in theQS2024 EMBARankingsthat assessed 199 global executive MBA programs, placing AGSM among the top 18% worldwide. TheQSGlobal EMBARankingsconsider five key performance indicator groups: Career Outcomes, Diversity, Employer Reputation, Executive Profile, and Thought Leadership. AGSM ranked highly in Thought Leadership, positioning in at 23rd, with an earned score of 83.3 out of 100 – around 36 points ahead of the global average.

Associate Professor Michele Roberts, AGSM's Academic Director, sees the school's consistent success in theQS Global MBA and EMBARankingsas a testament to the Business School's capacity to adapt in alignment with evolving industry needs. "Our MBA programs are designed to equip leaders to reimagine their organisations and the world through responsible management practices," she said.

A/Professor Roberts emphasises the increasing significance and importance of sustainable leaders. "There is a need for leaders who can effectively balance profitability with the well-being of the planet and its inhabitants. We need to work towards a future where sustainable leadership becomes the norm, inspiring generations to come.”
