I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Urban and Regional Planning (URP) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh. After graduation in 2014, I started working as a Research Planner in the Bangladesh Network Office for Urban Safety (BNUS), Department of Civil Engineering, BUET.I joined the Department of URP, BUET as a faculty member.

Disaster risk management (DRM) considering natural hazards (earthquake, flood, etc.) and human induced hazards (fire safety, structural safety, workplace safety, etc); resilient built environment; planning for sustainable development; environmental planning and management; participatory planning; risk-sensitive land use planning; smart city planning; etc.
