Brooke Jordan is a PhD Candidate and interdisciplinary scholar investigating the entanglement of gender, power, and violence. Her research explores the theoretical and political complexity underlying conceptualisations of domestic violence and intervention strategies addressing violence against women. This is largely conducted through careful examination of policies, reports, and legislation, along with critical interpretations of philosophical and social theories. Previously, she completed her Honours in philosophy at the University of Queensland.

Brooke has taught undergraduate courses in philosophy and the social sciences. Her teaching practice emphasises student-led learning to facilitate deeper understandings of the material and excite curiosity and critical thinking.
